The Balika Vidyalaya School

The Balika Vidyalaya School & Student Home Khategaon, India is a mission to educate underprivileged children from small towns and remote villages in India.

A registered charity in Ontario, AIM for Seva Canada has been managing the set-up of the school and hostel, rousing the local Indo-Canadian community to sponsor girls at this school. The Balika School and Student Home owes its success to its dedicated team of volunteers. They ensure that the organisation has zero administrative costs. Every cent you donate goes toward the intended cause.

The education model is built around the concept of student homes, also called hostels. Under-privileged girls are brought under the loving care of wardens and teachers at the hostel who nurture their talents through well-rounded education and moral upbringing in a disciplined environment.

The Balika Campus is aiming to raise $2M towards an endowment fund, which will enable sustained funding of the school in the years to come.  The endowment fund will allow donations to be invested and only the income earned on that gift may be spent for a specific board approved project or purpose.  For the Balika School, the income earned from the endowment fund will help educate young girls for years to come, with ongoing operations costs, repairs, and new project developments also covered.

In the meantime, we have several projects that we are working on to help get the project off the ground, and we encourage you to join us in supporting the development of this specific campus.
