Historically, the dental implant procedure has requires a fair amount of time for recovery. While this may not necessarily mean that discomfort will linger for months - it doesn't - the idea of a lengthy wait between the insertion of implants and the placement of final restorations can be a deterrent for many people. Many potential implant patients fear they will be in pain or that they will not be able to eat normal foods for weeks or months. With PRGF, these concerns can be alleviated.

When we incorporate Platelet-Rich Growth Factors into implant treatment, patients notice that very little about their normal routine is disrupted by their procedure.

How it works

Platelet-Rich Growth Factors are present in the blood. Before implant surgery, we will draw perform a standard blood draw. The blood is "spun" in a centrifuge, which separates out the specific proteins we want; proteins that the body uses to heal injury and regenerate tissue. After the insertion of implants, we apply the patient's own Growth Factors into the surgical site where they continually work to promote healing.
