Anais Aurora Badia Board-certified dermatologist

The National Osteopathic Pediatric Dermatology Certification Board relies on her professional input, as the doctor is a pediatrician as well as a dermatologist. This background makes her uniquely qualified to provide medical dermatology care for patients of all ages, at Florida Skin Center, including newborn babies. Under her direction, this is the only practice in the area to provide narrowband UVB phototherapy for treatment of eczema and psoriasis, as well as Mohs micrographic skin cancer surgery, and dermatopathology services. The practice is also equipped with a full laser suite, and offers aesthetic dermatology treatments.
While excellence in patient care is Dr. Badia’s passion, she is also active in the community. The local Hispanic Affairs Advisory Board has recognized her as Volunteer of the Year, and she received the Congressional Medal of Distinction, a national acknowledgement. Dr. Badia regularly lectures at pediatric postgraduate courses for Miami Children’s Hospital. The American Association on Anti-Aging Medicine values her services as a national speaker. She lectures on a variety of dermatology topics, at local and national levels, and her work has been published in leading pediatric and dermatology journals.

Eduardo Weiss, MD

From 1999 through 2006, Dr. Weiss was a charge physician for Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center in the area of Mohs micrographic surgery and laser procedures. He also established a thriving practice in Hollywood, Florida during this time.
Currently performing more than 1,500 laser procedures and Mohs surgeries annually, he finds time to share knowledge. Dr. Weiss trains residents in the University of Miami and Nova South Eastern University program of dermatology and family medicine. Dr. Weiss has lectured throughout the United States and South America. His work has been published in numerous medical journals and health quarterlies.

Robb E. Wilentz, MD Laboratory Provider

In 2002, Dr. Wilentz left Baltimore to pursue a fellowship in dermatopathology at University of Miami, Miller School of Medicine’s Department of Dermatology and Cutaneous Surgery. He continues to hold a post as Voluntary Assistant Professor at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, and at Florida Atlantic University.
His academic career in dermatopathology and gastrointestinal pathology has been prolific. Dr. Wilentz has published more than 60 peer-reviewed book chapters and manuscripts. These missives appeared in preeminent textbooks and journals including Cancer, the American Journal of Pathology, and Robbins’ Pathologic Basis of Disease.
Dr. Wilentz served on the United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology scientific abstract review board. He won many research awards and lectured at multiple universities. He has served as a member and moderator on many medical and university committees and panels.

Shirisha Vallarapu Physician Assistant

This dedicated PA brings more than 12 years of health care experience to Florida Skin Center. She sees patients for routine skin checks and medical issues. Shirisha also performs the majority of routine biopsies and excisions at the office. She applies extensive training in laser procedures such as hair removal and vascular treatments. She is also experienced and talented in dermal filler and Botox Cosmetic injections.
Shirisha frequently lectures to local colleagues, and throughout the community, on the importance of skin health. She enjoys spending time getting to know patients, and continually furthers her knowledge of dermatology through attendance at conferences and workshops.
Brooke Drew Physician Assistant

She is a graduate of University of South Florida, with a Bachelor of Science degree in biomedical science. Brooke completed physician assistant training at Nova Southeastern University, graduating with high honors and a Master in medical science.
Brooke has background in dermatology research, and in bringing new generic medications to market. She performs routine skin checks at Florida Skin Center, and takes patients for problem visits. Brooke is experienced in biopsies, excisions, and cryotherapy, and in performing precise laser procedures.
Cindy Huang Physician Assistant

Cindy sees Florida Skin Center patients for routine screenings as well as medical problems. She performs intralesional injections, laser procedures, excisions, cryotherapy, and biopsies.

Maria G. Cardena Lead Medical Assistant, Aesthetic Coordinator, Exilis Provider

Gabby is enthusiastic about holding these important positions in the practice. Small wonder patients adore her – she genuinely enjoys helping in all aspects of their relationships with Florida Skin Center.
Born and raised in Mérida, Yucatán, Mexico, Gabby moved to the States when she was 14 years old. When she is not at the office, she spends time with family, and stays fit working out. Gaby is currently pursuing credentials as an aesthetician.
