When is gum surgery needed?
Surgical gum revision may be performed for cosmetic or therapeutic purposes.- Cosmetic gum surgery – A gummy smile can be unattractive, and make your teeth look too short. Alternately, a receded gum line is equally unattractive and makes teeth look too long. When the gums are uneven, the smile tends to look asymmetrical.
