What is the recovery time following eyelid fold surgery?

The recovery time after an eyelid fold surgery ranges between one to two weeks. The stitches made on the inside are dissolving type stitches, while those on the outside are removed within three to four days following the surgery. The patient may appear puffy for a couple of weeks, but most patients start looking good in about 10 days. The recovery time also depends on the type of skin and the type of swelling that a particular patient has. Dr. Kwan advises most of his patients to schedule around two weeks for an eyelid fold surgery, but it takes over a month for their real natural look to get restored.
