Peter S. Evans, MS, DDS, MAGD
Dr. Peter Evans graduated from high school right here in Williamsburg, VA before meeting the challenge of preparing for a career as a dentist. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree at East Carolina University, then conducted cancer research for the National Institute of Health. Dr. Evans completed graduate school at Medical College of Virginia, receiving a Master of Science degree in microbiology and immunology. His career path continued at that institution, where he earned the title of Doctor of Dental Surgery. In addition to excelling as a student, Dr. Evans served as adjunct faculty at Virginia Commonwealth University.For Dr. Evans, learning never stops. He continually adds to his knowledge, experience, and contacts with annual professional education courses. To date, he has logged nearly 2,000 hours of advanced training. The doctor is dedicated to staying abreast of changes in this fast-paced industry to provide the highest level of patient care.
Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry is a prestigious accomplishment, requiring hundreds of hours of continuing education, followed by successful completion of a rigorous examination. Dr. Evans surpassed that qualification, achieving the elite designation as Master in the AGD.
Committed to knowledge sharing for the advancement of dentistry, Dr. Evans coaches other dental professionals. He teaches practice management and efficiency at a local and national level. Additionally, he lectures professionally on the topic of BioCompatible dental care. He is a founding member of the American Academy for Oral Systemic Health (AAOSH), and President of The BioCompatible Dentist, LLC.
He considers providing healthy dental care to friends and neighbors in the Williamsburg area to be his biggest accomplishment.
Donna Evans – Office Coordinator and Clinical Assistant
Donna’s big smile is the face of Evans Dental Care. She is in charge of coordinating all clinical matters. In addition, she takes pride in appointment scheduling – getting patients in at the most appropriate time of day and allowing enough time to ensure each one receives the best possible care.Donna has more than 30 years of experience in the dental field. She is uniquely able to answer questions related to virtually any area of the practice, from billing and scheduling to explaining procedures.
Sue Zima – Clinical Assistant
Sue is another “lifer” in the dental field, with over 20 years of experience. She is clinical assistant to Dr. Evans, and an expert in patient care. Every day, Sue makes it her mission to ensure each patient has a comfortable, pleasant dental experience.
Karen Jorstad – Registered Dental Hygienist
Karen has three decades of clinical experience! She is an RDH, and takes special interest in treating periodontal disease. She coaches patients on the importance of professional hygiene visits for optimal gum health. Karen enjoys sharing tips on home care to keep gums healthy between dental appointments.
Jutta Hansen – Business Administrator
As our Business Administrator, Jutta handles all financial arrangements, questions, and concerns for patients. She is well qualified to do so, since she has worked in customer service for more than 20 years. Jutta and her husband live in Williamsburg. They have three children and four grandchildren.
Rachel Roberts - Marketing & Administrative Assistant
Rachel is an Marketing & Administrative Assistant for Dr. Evans’ office and handles multiple administrative tasks for the dental office, including the production of educational materials within the office. She also assists in implementing marketing strategies and website design for Evans Dental Care. She owns & operates a small design company outside of the dental office and specializes in branding, logo design, and fine art.You can see that our team is well-seasoned and well-qualified, working together seamlessly. Every member of the staff attends relevant continuing education, as part of the Evans Dental Care commitment to excellence in patient care.
