CEREC, which is an acronym for Chairside Economical Restoration of Esthetic Ceramics, is an advanced method of fabricating restorations for patients including veneers, crowns, and bridges. This equipment is used to mill restorations from blocks of porcelain right in the dentist's office for fast, same-day solutions. In traditional dental offices, dentists are required to prepare the teeth, take impressions, and have the patient return weeks later for the return of their restoration from an outside laboratory.
