Dr. Friedell has been my gynecologist for many years and I have always found him to be friendly, informative, professional and quite literally a lifesaver. I had unknowingly had cancer. I had a strange symptom that other doctors had not been able to diagnose and Dr. Friedell nagged me to IMMEDIATELY get a mammogram that was the start in diagnosing my disease. I had treated my symptom casually, but he picked up on a problem and I am now in remission.

He is very busy and because he is dedicated, he will sometimes return a call at 9:30 at night rather than let me worry all night. He is a wonderful doctor and a terrific, caring person. His nurses have always been top-notch. I wouldn't switch for all the chocolate at Fannie Mae.

I love Dr. Feldstein. As you can imagine, a visit to the OBGYN is generally not a pleasant thing. I went through a string of horrible OB's before finding Dr. Feldstein, and he is by far the best.

He goes out of his way to make you feel comfortable and thoroughly explain what he's doing. He also speaks to you like a normal person, not in that condescending tone that many doctors seem to be big fans of.

My only complaint would be parking, but as his office is downtown, there's not much I can do about that!

All in all, I'm a huge fan of Dr. Feldstein. He definitely knows his stuff!

I had a great experience with Dr. Freidell. He was given my case in late December/early January, and had scheduled a pre-op visit and tentative surgery date in early January. I made several trips to the office, but he was helpful in finding previous ultrasounds and made sure we were proceeding correctly prior to surgery. My surgery at Prentice went smoothly. I definitely pleased with the care I have received.

Dr. Friedell has been my doctor for about 15 years now. Coming here from NYC years ago I was very nervous about whom to choose for my first pregnancy yet my sister in law raved about Dr. F therefore I knew I should be in good hands. 2 children later (each child not interested in making an on time appearance and Dr. F handling that expertly), at 40 years old I found that I had fibroids, one giant, and they had to be removed by surgery.

Dr. Friedell was very candid with me about my chances for robotic surgery vs incision. He was helpful explaining all of my options and the pros and cons of each. I interviewed one of his pharma reps who told me if she ever had surgery she would go to him. Last Tuesday I had a very successful robotic surgery that he performed. He knew that I had a new job and vacation planned and that I was very focused on having robotic surgery vs a larger incision (longer recovery time.)

I feel great. I am up and walking 2 miles a day less than a week later. Everything is working! I would recommend Dr. Friedell for my daughter when she is old enough to need a gyne. I trust him with my life and in return he's made my quality of life so much better for me. Thank you!

I would also add that he staff are very professional and courteous. I was very nervous about the surgery and Ariana, his assistant, put me right at ease, talking me off of the ledge repeatedly.

If you are new to Chicago or are just looking for a new physician, please make an appointment with Dr. Friedell. This is the first time in my adult life, that a doctor spent an hour with me going over my medical history, asking questions and documenting my history accurately. His assesment and subsequent surgery were all done t a T! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him or his staff. I have had very positive experiences every time I've gone and I always leave feeling like I've been really seen and heard.

I have beento Dr. Roth for regular check-ups. I really like her. I had a lot of questions about some past problems I had and she took the time to really listen and answer my questions. She has a very calm manner, almost cool. I thought she seemed very competent and was a good listener.

Dr. Roth is simply the best. She is thorough and caring. I had serious health issues and she went above and beyond. If I were rating the whole office, the rating would not be high. The other staff are not very helpful and don't return phone calls at times. They seem unorganized and unprofessional.

I switched to Dr. Roth mid pregnancy due to health insurance reasons and it was probably the best decision I have ever made in my life. She is definitely warm and funny but also extremely competent and knowledgeable. I would say what makes her stand out from other doctors is how calm and not reactive she is in even the most dire situations. My son was in serious fetal distress (unexpected and not preventable) and she was very calm and reassuring as we literally ran to the OR for my c section. With the rise of c sections today I feel Dr. Roth is one of the few remaining fabulous ob's that truly plans for normal vaginal births (your choice if you want an epi or not) and although I needed a c section I knew it was truly necessary. I could not speak more highly of her, not only did she save my sons life but she made me feel safe, secure and empowered even when decisions and actions were out of my hands.

I've been going to Dr. Belmonte since 2000 (at least). She delivered my 1st child and she has been awesome the entire time I've been a patient. Just like Andrea R., it is hard to get an appt but it's well worth the trip. I've been to Dr. with my son & they rush you through the exam. Dr. Belmonte takes her time & answers all the questions you can think of. She's the best.

I was referred to her by my goOd mother who works at Northwestern & I've been satisfied from day one.

I really like Dr. Belmonte. She is warm and funny, which is a nice change from a lot of the doctors I've seen in the past. Her exams are efficient so your time isn't wasted, but she definitely will take the time to sit down with you and discuss any concerns that you're having with your gynecological health.

I have been going to Dr. Belmonte for three years now. She is incredibly kind and a great listener. I usually have to call about 6 weeks before in order to get an appointment. However, Dr. Belmonte has always been great about extending my birth control if I am running behind on an appointment. Dr. Sharon Wise is awesome! She has been my ob/gyn for 3 ½ years, since I moved to Chicago, She was recommended to me by an MD friend of mine ( who was a patient of Dr. Wise’s and saw her throughout her pregnancy). She is a straight shooter. She takes time out to talk to you! By my second visit I found out I was pregnant. She has since delivered ALL my babies (3) including my twins who arrived early!

I live in Indiana & called the referral line & my 1st visit I was so glad to have found such a friendly Dr. who explains everything thoroughly & takes the time to answer any ?’s. I needed a procedure done which I didn’t want done br Dr’s around me & that is why I went to Chicago. She explained it, & even a couple days before I called about a ? thinking a nurse would all back & the Dr. did herself & didn’t act in a hurry. I don’t do well having anything done in hospital because of a major brain surgery years ago & told her. She said not to worry, it would be ok. That a.m. when she came in & asked how I was doing I started crying. She sat on the bed & was so nice saying everything will be fine (then she told the anesthesiologist to put med in IV which worked right away). To see anyone say she has not bedside manners is crazy, she is the best Dr & makes you feel very comfortable going to her.

I can not tell you how wonderful my experiences have been. Dr. Sharon Wise is my doctor and she is fantastic. She is straightforward and honest about treatments and procedures. I enjoy her sense of humor, and I found her bedside manner when delivering my son to be excellent.

She was appropriately concerned about all of my concerns, making suggestions in some cases, but reassuring me in others.
