Root canals are performed with local anesthetic and with a laser that is uniquely suited for the internal areas of the tooth. Laser root canal therapy is excellent for the destruction of bacteria in the root canal prior to sealing as well as for the preservation of healthy tissue.

Laser treatment for gum disease

Gum disease is a persistent infection that can be difficult to manage. Using the LightWalker® laser, Dr. Gjelaj has achieved excellent results and precision in targeting the bacteria that cause gum disease. This technology involves Wavelength Periodontal Therapy to remove unhealthy bacteria from periodontal pockets and treat inflamed gum tissue. Laser gum disease treatment causes minimal bleeding and requires no sutures. Compared to conventional gum surgery, laser periodontal therapy is very conservative, very effective, and facilitates quick healing.
