Both of Dr. Gjelaj's parents are dental technicians, and she took their passion as inspiration and ran with it. Completing her studies at City University of New York, Dr. Gjelaj graduated Magna-Cum-Laude with a Bachelor's in Biology. After careful consideration of several schools, she chose to attend Nova Southeastern University of Dental Medicine to earn a doctorate in dental medicine. The beautiful sunshine of the Tampa area prompted Dr. Gjelaj to build her practice in this part of Florida.

New skills and techniques have been continually enhanced through programs and classes at prestigious institutions including the Dawson Academy, the Global Institute for Dental Education, the Pankey Institute, Misch International Implant Institute, and Spear Education.In addition to being a CEREC Club Mentor at the Scottsdale Center for Dentistry, Dr. Gjelaj is a Master of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists and a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry and the Misch International Implant Institute.
