Dental Crowns & Bridges
Before & After Pictures

Dental crowns are used to accomplish a number of goals, including:
- Repairing a tooth damaged by a large cavity or injury that has caused fracture.
- Enhancement of the smile.
- Repairing a fractured filling.
- To preserve strength following root canal therapy.

Dental Bridges
The dental bridge is a fixed prosthetic that spans a gap created by a lost tooth or teeth. Dental bridges have been used for many years to restore chewing function and a lovely aesthetic. This fixed appliance is comprised of two custom-made dental crowns, between which a prosthetic tooth is fused. On each side of the gap, the adjacent tooth is prepared and fitted with a dental crown, which allows the artificial tooth to remain firmly situated in the empty space. This artificial tooth sits on top of gum tissue, and it can be flossed so that bacteria can’t hide beneath the appliance.
Restoration with a dental crown or bridge is typically completed in two visits to our inviting, friendly office. During the first, the affected tooth or teeth are prepared for their new dental crown, and options for material are discussed with your doctor. An impression is taken, which will be used in the dental lab for the design of your restoration, and a temporary crown is situated. In approximately two weeks, your new appliance will be ready for evaluation and placement.
