Dental Implants Services at Biltmore Dental Center, Phoenix

If you have a missing tooth, dental implants are the best tooth replacement option.
Dental implants are solid titanium anchors that support natural looking porcelain crowns. We place a dental implant below your gums and then attach a porcelain crown right above the implant, so your new tooth blends in with your other teeth.
The first step is to place the dental implant below your gums. This procedure takes less than an hour. We then wait four to six months for the implant to integrate with your body. Once the integration is complete, we can attach the porcelain crown. Depending on the angulations of the implant, we can make a CEREC crown OR we might have to take an impression and have a lab fabricate a crown.
Dental implants are a much better option to replace a missing tooth than a bridge. A bridge connects two or more teeth together, so if any part of a bridge is compromised in the future, you will need to have the entire bridge replaced. In the long run bridges are very expensive and time consuming to replace. On the contrary, dental implants almost never need to be replaced. They are made of solid titanium, so they will never get a cavity!
AND, since all the teeth are connected on a bridge, it makes flossing very difficult. Implants are not connected to other teeth, so they look and feel more like natural teeth, and it makes flossing much easier.
If you are missing all your teeth in either or both jaws, we can place four to six implants and build a prosthesis that mimics natural teeth, and then attach that prosthesis to the implants. This is called an “implant retained over-denture.”
