The VariLite laser uses a dual laser system to generate laser light directly onto the area of treatment. This light is absorbed by the bright red blood cells and the pigmentation of the skin (melanin). While some patients may experience redness of the skin and some possible swelling, this is often minor and will typically subside within a few hours of treatment.
