Sculptra®
Sculptra® Aesthetic is a new type of facial injectable made from poly L-lactic acid, which helps to replace lost collagen. When injected, it promotes your own body to replace the poly L-lactic acid with new collegen, therefore adding volume in the skin. Sculptra® Aesthetic helps correct shallow to deep facial wrinkles and folds that appear with aging, particularly at the temples, hollows of the cheeks and nasolabial folds (smile lines). The main ingredient is a biocompatible, biodegradable synthetic material that has been used by physicians for decades. It is FDA approved and very safe.

What to expect:
After your Sculptra® Aesthetic injections there may be mild, temporary swelling or bruising that will subside in a few hours to 1-3 days. Ice compresses are applied immediately following injections to help reduce the amount of swelling. You will be asked to massage the injection sites a few times a day over the course of 3 days. Results are not immediate with Sculptra® Aesthetic and you will need 3 separate office visits to achieve the best results.
Safety / Side effects:
Sculptra® Aesthetic is FDA approved for adding volume to the face. When administered by a doctor, it has no adverse side effects. Common side effects are injection-related, such as tenderness, redness, bruising or swelling. These symptoms should go away in 3 days or up to 2 weeks.
