Meet the Doctor

<?php echo $pk;?> - Dr. Pamela Carr There is an incredibly technical side to becoming a dermatologist. Dr. Pamela Carr's journey began with earning (with honors) a Bachelor of Science in biology and chemistry at Auburn University, and a Doctor of Medicine (MD) at University of Alabama's School of Medicine in Birmingham. She completed her internship in internal medicine, and residency in dermatology at Houston’s University of Texas Health Center. After passing stringent testing and personal assessment, Dr. Carr gained certification by the American Board of Dermatology. Over more than 30 years, she has built upon that strong educational foundation, adding layers of experience in emerging technologies, current medical concepts, and in specific areas of dermatology practice such as lasers, neuromodulators, and tissue fillers.

Dr. Carr's very hands-on approach opened up another side of dermatology to her patients – the human side. A deep understanding of the emotions and feelings patients experience when dealing with skin problems. The connection that develops from adding a compassionate ear and a gentle touch to technical skill. Dr. Carr loves seeing patients light up with joy as they discover a whole new level of confidence with healthy, good-looking skin. She finds this to be the most rewarding aspect of her practice.
Dermatology is a field that continues to evolve quickly. Dr. Carr stays on top of those developments by attending seminars, training sessions, meetings, and through interaction with colleagues. She maintains membership in elite professional organizations including the American Academy of Dermatology, American Society of Dermatologic Surgery, Women’s Dermatology Society, Texas Dermatological Medical Society, Texas Medical Association, and Fort Bend Medical Society (where she served as President in 2006-2007). Dr. Carr welcomes these opportunities to broaden her knowledge with access to current information on the latest treatment methods. She feels that patients deserve this level of passion and commitment from a Board-certified dermatologist.
