Leg Veins Treatment

Sclerotherapy involves injecting a solution into the vein with a fine needle to cause inflammation of the blood vessel wall, which causes the vein to collapse. The blood and vein is then absorbed by the body’s own natural response. Sclerotherapy treats spider veins (small, dilated superficial veins) and telangiectasias on the legs. Larger, bulging, varicose veins are best treated surgically, especially if there is accompanying pain or discomfort.

Laser therapy is also effective at treating leg veins, especially those that are not responsive to sclerotherapy.
