A chemical cousin to BOTOX, Dysport™ is an injectable form of botulinum toxin Type A that has been found to be faster acting than BOTOX in clinical studies. It is a chemical muscle relaxant that works almost identically to BOTOX to successfully treat frown lines, worry lines, crow’s feet and more.
FDA-approved for aesthetic uses since 2009, Dysport™ was tested in over 2,900 patients in over 80 study sites across the country. It was approved as a safe and effective product for reducing unwanted muscle activity in the glabellar area.
Both successfully treat wrinkles. Dysport™ is especially effective in countering the effects of frowning, scowling, and forehead wrinkling. It is most commonly used between the eyebrows, in the forehead, and next to the eyes, where crow’s feet form. Dysport™ affects only dynamically-caused wrinkles, not those caused by aging or collagen depletion, which we treat with fillers or lasers.
