Dr. Patel graduated cum laude with a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Miami. After being accepted into the University’s prestigious Medical Scholars Program, Dr. Patel received his medical education at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, graduating with Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) honors. He completed residency training at New York University and during his fellowship training at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School he developed an interest in minimally invasive laser and injectable aesthetic treatments.
Shortly after completing fellowship, Dr. Patel joined Dr. Nguyen to open Miami Skin and Vein. Dr. Patel’s goal is to provide world class facial aesthetic and cosmetic dermatology services to patients in Miami.
He is a highly trained injector, having been recognized with the Platinum Level provider status by Allergan, the makers of Botox, Juvederm, Voluma, Kybella and Latisse. As a leader in injectable treatments and nonsurgical facial aesthetics and skin rejuvenation, Dr. Shaun Patel has demonstrated a commitment to innovation, excellence, high quality patient care and the advancement of the field of facial aesthetics.
Dr. Patel believes in a pan-facial approach when it comes to addressing the aging face. His three step approach involves softening lines and wrinkles with neurotoxin, addressing static lines and volume loss with dermal fillers, and improving skin tone and texture using a variety of treatments including topical skin care products, prescription medications (Tazorac, Retin-A, hydroquinone), superficial chemical peels, microdermabrasion, skin resurfacing lasers, vascular lasers and microfocused ultrasound technology. He commonly uses multiple treatment modalities – including injectables and lasers – to address a patient’s cosmetic concerns.
