Is there a way such as laser to add volume to the face like Radiesse or Sculptra?

Although some lasers are well-known to induce the body to produce more collagen in the dermis underneath the epidermis, which helps support the overlying skin and improve wrinkles, in no case is this collagen equivalent to the amount that is produced in Sculptra.

Can I repeat my fat injection if I had it done four months ago?

Many patients like their fat injection results but there will be changes as some of the fat injection starts to dissolve. Subsequent treatments are not scheduled the same for every patient. It depends on the results, the volume maintained and achieved, and the results desired. More fat may be added in some areas and none in others, or the volumes adjusted depending on the results from the former fat injections. I usually wait at least three to six months in between fat injections.

I am very interested in having Botox but have been nervous about having a toxin injected into me. I then read a report of a woman who had Botox injected into her forehead to treat her “11” and also had fat injections there to fill out the lines but she developed some kind of reaction and now has a scar larger than an inch in length. Was this the Botox or the filler?

Botox has not been reported to cause such a reaction. Certainly there can be a temporary bruise but this color would be gone by itself within a couple of weeks at the most and I see very, very few bruises from Botox injections. On the other hand, there have been reported cases of injecting a thick filler into the glabellar area of the forehead (between the eyebrows) causing an ulceration because of compromise of the blood vessels in this area. It is not certain if it is the product entering the blood vessel and traveling to create a blockage, or the filler is compressing the vessel from outside its wall. Regardless of cause, the lack of blood flow can cause the skin normally supplied with oxygen from this blood vessel, to die and form a scab which when healed can leave a permanent change in texture and coloration, quite large on one side of the midline of the forehead.
