Pelleve™ - Related FAQ's
Q: When I had my chemical peel, I liked the immediate refreshing appearance it gave me on my face but it didn't help enough on the chest. What else can I do for my sun-damaged wrinkled chest?A: Pelleve can give you an immediate improvement, some of which is temporary from microscopic swelling, which some patients use to their advantage and have the treatment done to look good before a social function. Long term, however, results are seen after a few months of doing a few Pelleve treatments. Fraxel Restore and Dual, are great wavelengths for the chest for sun-damage but there is some downtime with four to seven days of pink, slightly swollen and some scaling skin that can occur. Pelleve gives no downtime.
Q: I have some crepy lines on my lower eyelids. Can Pelleve help this?
A: Yes. Pelleve helps the thin skin of the lower eyelids and neck area when there is crepiness. Not all the lines will go away, but often, not always, is there improvement. Multiple treatments can be done for best results.
Q: I want to look refreshed. My skin is starting to sag and I want to go to a big family social in three weeks. What can I do now that will not look terrible in three weeks?
A: Three weeks allows time for bruising to go away if fillers such as Restylane or Juvederm are done. Botox, Dysport and Xeomin can be done and their effects are seen in a few days and bruising is rare but if occurs, it would be gone in time for your function. Pelleve is an excellent rejuvenation procedure that has NO downtime and uses radio-frequency to tighten the underlying dermis. Usually it is done as a series of a few treatments a few weeks apart, but many, not all, patients do see improvement even after one treatment.
