Amarpaul Sidhu
M.D., M.P.H., F.A.A.D., F.A.S.D.S.
Dr. Amarpaul Sidhu is the Medical Director and founder of Foothill Dermatology Medical Center. He runs two practices, once in Glendora and one in Rancho Cucamonga. He is a Board Certified Dermasurgeon with a background in dermatologic surgery and general surgery, and he has specialized in skin cancer and cosmetic treatments.Dr.Sidhu has carried out over 25,000 skin cancer surgeries to date since he first opened his practice. He is a native of the Seattle Washington area and has earned degrees in psychology at the University of Washington, Doctor of Medicine degree at Tulane University in New Orleans, and went on to pursue a General Surgery degree at Virginia Mason Medical Center. He has extensive training and expertise in MOHS micrographic surgery, cosmetic surgery, and plastic surgery.

Janet J. Vafaie, MD, FAAD
Board Certified Dermatologist
Dr. Janet Vafaie was born in a small suburb in Ohio. She was raised in her father's pediatric clinic. From a young age, she learned medicine observing her father’s sincerity, hard work, respect, and compassion for all his patients. Dr. Vafaie completed a prestigious 7yr BA/MD program at The George Washington University School of Medicine in 2003. She then pursued her internship, residency, and fellowship at UC Irvine, NYMC, and UMDNJ. Dr. Vafaie has been practicing dermatology in Beverly Hills, Malibu, and the Inland Empire since 2008.

Dr. Vafaie was an assistant professor at UCLA, but now focuses on private practice as a board certified dermatologist. She travels nationwide lecturing on acne and eczema. She is known as a regional expert in acne and acne research and development. She is well published in various scientific journals, books, and was most recently named "Best of Los Angeles 2013 in dermatology" in the LA magazine.

Manjunath Vadmal
M.D.
Dr. Vadmal is a triple board certified dermatologist, with education and training from North Shore University Hospital, NYU School of Medicine in New York, The Ohio State University College of Medicine, and University of Southern California Medical Center. He has extensive training and expertise in skin diseases, anatomic and clinical pathology, cosmetic dermatology procedures, and treatments for skin cancer. He is an active participant with the American Board of Dermatology, Dermatopathology, and the American Board of Pathology in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology.

Cynthia Yazdani – Nurse Care Coordinator / LVN
Cynthia grew up in the city of Glendora since childhood and has seen the small quaint town grow into the booming city that it is today. As nurse care coordinator, Cynthia assists our patients through their healthcare by acting as the patient advocate and navigator. She facilitates patient health education and coordinates the continuity of patient care within our office as well as external facilities when necessary. She has a passion for promoting clear communication amongst our care team by assuring awareness regarding patient care plans. She also assists patients with medication management based on standard orders and protocol. Cynthia has worked closely with Dr. Sidhu and his management team and has developed strong critical analytical skills and a professionalism that is exceptional by any standard. She currently has her license in vocational nursing as well as a social and behavioral degree in science. Whether a patient needs further information on a diagnosis or would like to review preoperative and postoperative care, Cynthia always makes a valiant effort in assuring that the patient is well educated and that their care is optimal. She has been a strong team member and takes pride working for Dr. Sidhu and his entire staff. “His attention to detail is stellar and his care for his patients is always of utmost importance. Those qualities are always key factors in providing excellent care.” On her spare time, she enjoys taking part of community based walks such as the AIDS walks and breast cancer awareness walks, growing her skills in mixed martial arts, and spending time with her family.

Jessica Torres, Office Administrator
Jessica grew up in sunny southern California. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her big family and has recently added two new sweet nephews to the gang.

Jessica is a certified medical assistant and fell into the specialty of Dermatology by accident and has aquirred over 18 years experience since she started. She always knew she wanted to pursue medicine and it is something her mother always instilled in her to follow.
Jessica has been with Foothill Dermatology Medical Center, since it opened its doors March 15, 2004 and continues to be a vital member of the team as the office administrator.

Monica Navarro, Office Manager
Monica grew up in Glendora CA and is the eldest of four children. She has two very mischievous dogs named “Oreo” and “Ivory” and enjoys hiking, reading, playing the clarinet, attending church and spending time with family and friends.

Monica began working in the field of Dermatology in her senior year of High School and soon learned many aspects of the specialty that she has been able to apply to her daily life.
“I was fortunate enough to understand how important the skin is at a young age. After seeing how prominent skin cancer is, I was the one telling my friends and family not to tan and to use sunscreens. I know it’s difficult living in sunny California but I feel the skin is something we all kind of leave for last- once the damage is done.”
Along with Jessica and Denise, Monica was a founding member of the Foothill Dermatology Medical Center and has been with Dr. Sidhu since day one.
“It has been a difficult yet rewarding experience. I think one of the best things, is being able to see the healing process take place in the different patient cases we see. Although I am not the one treating the patient, it is always wonderful to see the improvement people make. And there is nothing better than to get to know the individuals that walk through the door on a personal level. Hearing their fun family stories, seeing pictures from their trips, and being able to be a listening ear and shoulder during the bad times as well – which can go both ways.”

Amanda Duncan was born and raised in South Florida. She completed her Bachelor of Health Science from the University of Florida. She then made the move to California and received her Master of Physician Assistant Practice (MPAP) from the University of Southern California. She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the California Academy of Physician Assistants. Amanda has enjoyed working closely with fellow USC Trojan, Dr. Sidhu, to ensure the best possible care for her patients in both medical and cosmetic dermatology. She is thankful for his desire to teach, his love for his patients, and his constant support as she continues her career in dermatology. She currently resides in Pasadena and enjoys hiking with her dog, movies, and a good book.
