Philosophy

In her practical experience, Dr. Stotland, in her words, met with far too many patients who felt their skin concerns had yet to be heard. Patients have made statements such as "he examined me from the doorway" or "I was trying to tell my doctor about my skin problem and all he wanted to do was give me Botox." Statements such as these have spoken to Dr. Stotland and driven her desire to provide patients with the listening ear they not only want but need and deserve. Complete Skin LA was founded on the principle of high care standards in a supportive, friendly, and caring environment.

Our approach to each patient's medical visit is to give you a complete and thorough exam and review all the latest treatment options. You will leave your visit feeling like your concerns have been heard and that you have had all of your questions answered. Our goal is for you to feel confident in the treatment that is recommended to you and that you are exceedingly happy with the results. We feel honored that you have entrusted your care to us and we take that responsibility very seriously.

Dr. Mira Stotland

Dr. Mira Stotland is the director and founder of Complete Skin LA. She is a board certified dermatologist and assistant clinical professor at the University of Southern California. In addition to specializing in the various aspects of medical dermatology, Dr. Stotland provides excellent care for the prevention and treatment of skin cancer. She aids her patients, as well, in the maintenance of healthy, beautiful skin with cosmetic dermatologic treatments and laser surgery.

Education

Dr. Stotland's undergraduate training was completed at the University of Pennsylvania. Moving forward at the State University of New York, Downstate Medical Center, she graduated in the top 1 percent of her class, summa cum laude. Clinical training included an internship in internal medicine, conducted at New York's St. Vincent's Medical Center as well as a dermatology residency at SUNY Downstate. In her final year of residency training, Dr. Stotland was named Chief Resident of Dermatology.

Dr. Stotland has been the recipient of many honors and awards including Junior Alpha Omega Alpha (awarded to the top 5 percent of graduating medical students), the Benjamin Bender, MD Award for Excellence in Clinical Dermatology, and the American Medical Women's Association - Janet M Glasgow Memorial Achievement Award.

Dr. Stotland has been published on various topics including the treatment of acne, laser treatments, and sunscreen safety. She has been the recipient of the Doctors' Choice Award and the Super Doctors' Distinction on multiple occasions.

Having been born and raised abroad, moving to the United States at a young age and living in the east coast for many years, Dr. Stotland is thrilled to call Los Angeles her new home. Dr. Stotland has always dreamed of opening her own practice and serving the skin care needs of her community. She lives in the valley with her husband and two daughters.
