The first Student 'Keeping it Real' program at Cornerstone Christian was a success!
The Greater Shelby County Chamber of Commerce is partnering with schools to give ninth-graders a taste of the real world this academic year. The chamber with the help of Skin Wellness Center and its membership is bringing a two-day 'Keeping It Real' program into most public and private schools in Shelby County for ninth-graders to learn about financial responsibilities the students will encounter as adults. The premise is that at the end of it, the student will realize that if they finish high school and go on to a two year or four-year school, they will have more resources to do what they want to do. In turn, this helps create a stronger workforce in Shelby County to help local businesses. Here are some pics from today's event! Skin Wellness was over the CLOTHING Booth!
