Dawn Bennett practices in the areas of Family Law, Immigration Law and Wills

Dawn graduated from Huron College at the University of Western Ontario with an Honours Bachelor of Arts (English) in 1992. She spent a term at Oxford University in England, which contributed towards this degree. In 1994 she earned her Honours Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Windsor. In 1997 she graduated with her LL.B(Hons) from the University of Bristol in England. Dawn studied at the Inns of Court School of Law in London, England, and in 1998 she was called to the Bar of England and Wales.

Dawn completed her Canadian accreditation at the University of Toronto in 1999, and was called to the Bar of Ontario in 2001. Dawn articled at a mid-sized full service firm in Toronto, and years later returned to Mississauga to continue her practice in the areas of Family Law, and Immigration Law.

Her Family practice includes but is not limited to the following areas: Divorce; Collaborative Family Law; Family Property division; Paternity Disputes; Child Custody; Child support; Child Protection; Child Access and Visitation issues; Spousal support; Grandparents’ Rights; Separation Agreements; Providing Legal Opinions on Foreign Divorces for persons who wish to remarry in Canada, and Contested Court Proceedings.

Dawn Bennett’s immigration practice primarily focuses on reuniting families in Canada. This is achieved through a variety of applications including family class and spousal applications, skilled worker applications, business class applications, and temporary residence applications including work permits, student visas, visitor visas, and citizenship applications. Dawn also provides immigration litigation services as required on a case by case basis.

Dawn’s professional memberships include the Law Society of Upper Canada, Ontario Bar Association, Collaborative Family Law Practice GroupInternational Academy of Collaborative ProfessionalsChristian Legal Fellowship, Peel Law Association, and the Honourable Society of Lincoln’s Inn in London, England.
